The Truck Festival

2008 will be Truck Festival’s tenth birthday. Based in the normally sleepy village of Steventon, Oxford, its community and artistry puts many of the bigger city-scale festivals to shame. The supportive villagers have always been involved in festival’s organisation and you can really tell.

All the elements are there – the rotary club, the vicar, the stallsand the trucks used for stages. But with quite big acts, the music contradicts and complements this country fete vibe.

The festival is putting on coaches from London, Oxford and Reading to reduce the event’s carbon footprint and limit the number of people travelling by car.

Previous artists include Idlewild, Buck 65 and Electric Soft Parade. Dates are confirmed for the 19th-20th July this year.
